Terms of service

Last updated 24 July 2026
These terms cover what you can expect from us, what we need from you, and what happens when a booking doesn't go to plan. We've written them to be read rather than skimmed.

What we are

Namaste Udan is a travel agent. We search airline content, price it, and book on your behalf. We are not the airline: the contract of carriage — the thing that actually gets you on the aircraft — is between you and the airline that issues your ticket, under their fare rules and conditions. That distinction matters most when something changes. The airline decides schedules, cancellations, baggage allowances and their own change and cancellation fees. We decide our fees, our service, and the Flight Protection commitment described below.

Booking with us

When you book, you're asking us to buy a ticket on your behalf at the price shown. We confirm the fare with the airline immediately before payment; if it has changed, we show you the new price and stop until you accept it. We never rebook you at a different price silently.Names on a booking must match the government ID the traveller will carry. Airlines check, and a mismatch is corrected at the airport at the airline's discretion and expense, not ours.
  • You must be 18 or over to make a booking.
  • You're responsible for passports, visas and entry requirements for your route.
  • Infants must travel with an accompanying adult on the same booking.

Prices and fees

The price you see includes the airline's fare and taxes, our service fee and a convenience fee. Every one of those is its own line in your price breakdown before you pay — we don't roll ours into the fare.Prices are in Indian rupees. Fares are held only for the length of your booking session; once it expires the airline may reprice, and we'll tell you if it has.

Flight Protection

Flight Protection is included free on every booking. If an airline cancels your flight, or an airline-caused delay makes you miss a connection on the same booking, we look for an alternative on the same route and rebook you at no additional cost, within the policy window. It does not cover disruption outside the airline's control — weather closures, air-traffic restrictions, or a flight missed because you arrived after check-in closed. Where a case isn't covered, we tell you why and point you at the airline's own obligations, which often still apply. If no automatic alternative fits the policy, the case goes to a member of our team. We never charge you a fare difference without asking.

Changes and cancellations

You can cancel or change a booking with us subject to the airline's fare rules. We show the refundable amount and every fee before you confirm — the airline's charge and ours are shown separately, so you can see which is which.Refunds are returned to the original payment method. We don't hold a store balance or issue credit in place of a refund.

Liability

We're responsible for our own service: booking what you asked for, at the price shown, and honouring the Flight Protection commitment. We're not liable for the airline's performance, for consequential losses such as missed connections booked separately from your ticket, or for events outside anyone's reasonable control.Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
