Cancellation & refund policy

Last updated 24 July 2026
Refunds are the part of travel where vagueness costs the most. Here is exactly how ours work, including the cases where nothing comes back.
Draft — pending legal review
This policy describes what the product actually does and is accurate to the build, but it has not been reviewed by counsel. It must be replaced with approved wording before launch.

Cancelling a booking

You can cancel from the trip page. Before you confirm we show you the amount paid, the airline's cancellation charge, our cancellation fee and the net refund — separately, so it's clear which charge belongs to whom.Cancellation is final. Once the airline releases the ticket, the fare and seats are gone; rebooking later costs whatever the fare is then.

What you get back

The refundable amount is set by the airline's rules for the fare you bought. Some fares refund in full, some refund taxes only, and some — typically the cheapest saver fares — refund nothing at all. We show which applies to your booking before you confirm, not after. Our cancellation fee is waived on fares that offer free cancellation.

Where the money goes

Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the booking. We don't operate a wallet or store credit, so there is no other destination to choose and no balance that can expire.Refunds typically clear in 5–7 working days once the airline releases them. Your bank's own processing time is the usual reason it takes longer, and we'll notify you when the airline has released the refund.

Changing a date instead

If your plans have moved rather than ended, changing the date often costs less than cancelling and rebooking. You pay the fare difference plus the airline's change penalty. One thing to know: if the new flight is cheaper, the difference is not refunded — airlines retain the residual value on an exchange. We show that clearly on the quote before you commit.

When we cancel or rebook you

If the airline cancels and Flight Protection rebooks you, there's nothing to pay and nothing to claim — the replacement is covered by the policy. If a payment is taken but the airline doesn't confirm the booking, we reverse the charge automatically. You have no ticket and no obligation, and the reversal is on its way before you see the screen telling you about it.
